Kate Goodfellow – Artistic Director/ Actor
Kate Goodfellow is the Artistic Director and creator of RedBellyBlack. Her theatrical practice has been influenced by her upbringing in Australia and Indonesia as well as her experiences living in the UK. She was trained at NIDA and Actors Centre Australia and most recently has been involved with an intensive devising programme at the National Theatre. She is based in London and has been performing on the stage and in film for the past 10 years in both Britain and Australia. In 2014 she was named Best Female Performer at the Brighton Fringe Festival.
Vicki Baron – Associate Director
Vicki is a London-based theatre and comedy director. Her previous work includes the award-winning devised show A Year From Now, Tom Skelton’s Blind Man’s Bluff (“Inventive and very enjoyable” – The Mirror) and the UK premiere of Martin Blank’s The Law of Return. Vicki is also a writer of reviews, plays and scenes for show reels. She is an Associate Director of Familia de la Noche and RedBellyBlack Theatre Company. In January 2017 she was selected to join the prestigious Young Vic Directors’ Programme.
Elizabeth Williams – Movement Director
EM Williams grew up in the midlands in a Jamaican/Irish household and her awareness of multiculturalism is at the heart of all of her work. She began her relationship with performance at the age of seven and her work in theatre has taken her to three continents so far. A passionate pursuant of experience-based knowledge, Elizabeth’s studies to date include a Masters in solo and ensemble physicality. She completed her postgraduate studies at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2014. In 2014 she created a monthly new writing night called Stitchin’ Fiction which has attracted hundreds of participants and facilitated the first showings of over 120 pieces of writing. She has worked with Punchdrunk, Les Enfants Terrible, Odin Teatret, Complicite, and the Almeida Theatre.
Jessica Sinclair Martin – Set Designer, Prop Stylist & Art Director
Jessica is a graduate of the Adv. Diploma of Design for Live production Theatre and events at the Enmore Design Centre Australia. She has over 14 years experience in backstage theatre. For the past 4 years where she has worked with Morning Sets, coordinating large scale immersive events like Zombie sensation ‘Generation Z’, as well as commercial, stage and feature film set and costume design. Morning is a set design collective Established by Samara Tompsett, Charlotte Osborn and Jessica Martin based in London.
Abi Toghill – Lighting Designer
Abi is a stage manager, production manager and lighting designer who has been in the theatre industry since 2012. She has worked on national and international touring productions of several large-scale productions, including musical sensation The Simon and Garfunkel Story and Woodville pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk. She is also a veteran of high profile companies Les Enfants Terrible and Familia de la Noche. Abi has been working with RedBellyBlack since the start of 2017.
